Chicken with Mustard Sauce




Servings: 3
Preparation Time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: 30 minutes

Ingredients:
  • 8 bacon strips, chopped
  • ⅓ cup Dijon mustard
  • Salt and ground black pepper, to taste
  • 1 cup onion, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1½ cups chicken stock
  • 3 chicken breasts, skinless and boneless
  • ¼ teaspoon sweet paprika

Directions:
  1. In a bowl, mix paprika with mustard, salt, and pepper, and stir well. Spread this on chicken breasts and massage. 
  2. Heat a pan over medium–high heat, add bacon, stir, cook until it browns and transfer to a plate. 
  3. Heat the same pan with oil over medium–high heat, add chicken breasts, cook for 2 minutes on each side, transfer to a plate. 
  4. Heat pan once again over medium–high heat, add stock, stir, and bring to a simmer. 
  5. Add bacon and onions, salt, and pepper, and stir. 
  6. Return chicken to pan, stir gently, and simmer over medium heat for 20 minutes, turning meat halfway through.Divide chicken on plates, drizzle the sauce over it, and serve.
